The Mall Goblin is a minor character in Antonblast, appearing in The Mad Mall as a central unique mechanic to that level. He bears design queues of a stereotypical goblin, including green skin, and a long pointy nose and ears. The Mall Goblin's skin is a lighter shade of green, his nose is shaped to look more like a snout, and his ears point up to more resemble horns. He also has putrid yellow teeth and eyes. As a burglar attempting to pull off a heist, he wears a grey beanie, sweatshirt, and shoes, and a black pair of pants. It's later revealed that he's extremely bald under the cap.

Mall Goblin solely appears in The Mad Mall, where he's shown attempting to break into an overly sized safe. As soon as the player first enters his area, a timer starts making the beginning of his Heist. The player must now hit all four Detonators before the time to reach them runs out in order to win, running through a gauntlet to reach each with the destruction of a Detonator restarting the timer.

If the player fails to activate more than half of the Detonators, the Mall Goblin would have opened the safe, stolen its contents which include a Spirit and alerted the Mall Security by activating Happy Hour, causing him to be taken away and put into the Mall's jail cell while the player has to go through the main escape route. He is shown in a Jail outfit.

If the player succeeds and activates all four of the Detonators in time however, the Mall Goblin will be blasted into a pile of dust, after returning, he is now shown as a still living ash with a deadpan look in his eyes with the safe being open for the player to reap the rewards inside, including the Spirit, and take a quick shortcut back to the entrance of the level as Happy Hour goes on.

Trivia[]

  • The Mall Goblin's palette is able to be equipped on the player as a Spray Can, by finding and equipping the can found in The Mad Mall.
  • The Mall Goblin's death sprite in the Heist HUD resembles an infamous AI generated slop image that became a meme depicting a "Screaming baby made of ash".
    • Said death animation is not seen in full, as the HUD moves out of the screen as soon as the "IT'S HAPPY HOUR!" splash text appears on screen before the ashes fully scatter
