Description[]
Freako Dragon is the Second major boss in Antonblast. He is a crazed Gambler who is Sent by Satan to take out the duo in an attempt to reclaim the stolen Spirits, as well as maybe being the star of a Pachinko machine brand: "PaFreako". He is fought after finishing Pinball Mire. Defeating him allows you to access the Top Floor.
Appearance[]
Freako Dragon has a green head mostly covered by yellow hair near his mouth. He also sports a purple tongue, a black mustache that resembles Wario's, two large black horns, and multiple arms and small wings. His body is actually a long string of pachinko balls, it could either be a consequence of his constant gambling or something that runs in his bloodline. Throughout the fight, his eyes change color; going pink, yellow and cyan when charging.
His boss fight takes place inside of a PaFreako Machine arena with some musical tiles.
On Satan's boss fight. Freako Dragon remains the same. But he only has one surviving segment, being the tail.
Boss fight[]
Phase 1[]
Freako Dragon is a pretty fast paced and erratic boss fight, often rushing around the screen. In order to damage him, the player must simply hit his head with a jump or Hammer Vault.
Brulo will also pop up every now and then to toss the player a Beet Crate.
His attacks are as follows:
- Mad Dash: Freako charges off screen, usually to perform one of his other phase one attacks.
- Freako Breath: Freako pops out from either the top left or top right of the screen and breathes yellow and red flames downwards.
- Bring It Around Town!: Freako flies into the background, then swerves around the pachinko machine in said background, only to charge directly towards the screen, and fly back into the foreground, sometimes gets rid of the colored tile flooring, tiles that will fall are marked by red caution signs.
- Choo Choo, Chump!: Freako flies into the background, then performs Mad Dash while still in the background, then charges back into the foreground like a train. A line of red caution signs will indicate where Freako Dragon will charge.
- Tile Takedown: Freako charges directly downwards, if a tile is beneath him, that tile will sink momentarily, creating a one way ticket to that fiery pit below if you're not careful.
- Peekaboo: Freako pops up from either side of the screen, this attack doesn't seem to do damage, allowing the player to get a free hit in.
Phase 2[]
Upon all three of Freako's health bars being depleted, he will be sent flying into the background, accidentally pulling the lever on the neighboring pachinko machine, releasing a whole mess of pachinko balls, breaking the floor. The player will now constantly Hammer Vault against a ring of pachinkos until all 3 health bars deplete for a second time, meaning you only have to focus on dodging attacks in order to progress to the next phase, you can also make his health go down faster by holding the down arrow (whatever it may be on whatever controller or keyboard layout you use) however this make Anton less controllable which means harder to dodge attacks.
Freako Dragon only has one attack during this phase.
- Flamin' Upchuck: Freako coughs up a swarm of flames with mustaches and toothy grins, these flames will fall from the top of the screen.
Phase 3[]
- Last Ditch: When all 3 health bars are depleted on Phase 2, Freako will make a hasty escape, the player barely clinging on to the last pachinko-segments on his body. the player must now find a large crack on every pachinko-segment of his body, and Antomic Blast directly on top of them, shattering it entirely and going to the next segment, Freako will still try to use the same flames from Phase 2. Once almost segments have been destroyed, Anton/Annie begins to launch atop of his head to end this thing quickly, taking control of the horns and driving him back to Earth. the player must now aim the plummeting dragon right to a red X, which turns out to be a stadium in Brazil! and after taking him to Brazil with a powerful headslam, Freako begins to blow up, defeated. Ending the boss fight.

Trivia[]
- The tiles make synth noises on key with the music when walked upon.
- Each boss in the game (except for Satan) has a sin assigned to them from the Seven Deadly Sins. The sin for Freako Dragon is Greed.[1]
- When Satan calls Freako, Jewel Ghoul, and Ring-A-Ding, this may be a reference to their boss development. Jewel Ghoul was the first major boss to be revealed in some videos, Freako came second, (he was the second major boss to be revealed in a video), and Ring a Ding came last in development.
- This is much more likely to be a reference to the order in which they are encountered, which is the same order.
- However, when you very briefly fight those bosses before those fools ruin everything, Freako is the first to be fought before Jewel Ghoul and then Ring-A-Ding or some reason.
- Despite his name, Freako has been stated to not be a 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 via this tweet. Rather, he was not loved as a child.
- In the secret room called "Brazil", (which can only be unlocked after beating Pinball Mire.) there is a hidden area where a picture of Freako Dragon is shown in Rio de Janeiro, with Christ The Redeemer's statue in the background, showing that he's enjoying his time in Brazil.
- Freako Dragon was originally meant to have his own cutscene before the fight. In which having fully Voice Acted but lacking any Sound Effects, variety in Anton's animations, or Annie voicelines. Satan himself is shown lifting his butt as he sits down playing PaFreako, where Anton shows up still pissed off as he outright insults him as well as making violent threats, this causes him to finally lose it and proceeds to smash the PaFreako aracde to bits and pieces before sending out Freako Dragon in a fit of rage. There was also gonna be a cutscene for Annie in the Game files, which involves her cheerfully waving. The reason why it was unused is because of the time constraints, but it would return in the future.
- Right after Freako Dragon's Finisher starts. His HP remains instead of disappearing, it still remains after he is plummeted to brazil instead of his HP draining completely, it's currently unknown if this may have been a bug, or a glitch.
- Right before He is plummeted to Brazil. All continents except 2 countries and a US state, being Japan, Brazil, and Florida, are missing from the map.
- Freako Dragon isn’t gay.
- One of the concept arts show Freako Dragon having an Angrier and menacing expression while sporting a beard like Dynamite Anton.
- All of the Big bosses are referenced in the level before the fight, usually having that same level be related to them in theming and/or having something directly related to them, the level before Freako's fight is Pinball Mire, (for obvious reasons), the pinball dispenser in that level also looks a lot like Freako.
- His mustache and nose are most likely inspired by Wario or Waluigi, anti-heroes from the Mario franchise, with one being the main character of a game series that inspired ANTONBLAST and the other being sadly underutilized.
