Concrete Jungle

Concrete Jungle is the sixth level of Antonblast. It takes place in a big jungle made out of concrete.

General[]

Concrete Jungle is a huge city with giant trees poking out of the metal of the buildings here and there. The buildings also somewhat resemble the shape of trees. There are sticky walls you can climb, monkeys that throw you around, and rails you can grind on. The level itself also has a lot of movement, requiring large portions of running or sliding compared to most other levels.

Detonators[]

The Blue Spade detonator is located at the top of the room "Grease the Wheel", after climbing up the the sticky wheels in the foreground. It unlocks the exit to the room as well as the room with the Cassette Tape.

The Green Club detonator is located in the room "Refinery Substation". It is hit automatically after being launched through a couple of cannons. It unlocks the cannon that launches you out of the room.

The Red Heart detonator is located at the top of the room "Dynamite Dentistry". It is hit automatically after you are thrown towards it by a throwing monkey. It drops a hammer that shatters the teeth of a giant statue, allowing you to leave the room.

The Yellow Diamond detonator is located in the room "Burn it Down!". Upon hitting it, fires erupt all around the city and the path forwards is opened.

Collectables[]

The Spirit is located at the top of the room "Grease the Wheel", after climbing up the the sticky wheels in the foreground.

The Cassette Tape is located through the secret door in the middle of the room "Grease the Wheel", accessible only after hitting the Blue Spade detonator. A little helper devil will tell you that it isn't the correct way to go, but has something valuable. Going through the door, you are presented with a platforming challenge with rising lava. Get to the top of the room and you will be shot into the background, where you will receive the Cassette Tape.

The 64 Controller is located in the room "The Dump". To access this room, fall off the rails and into the pit below in "Dynamite Duo's Downhill Jam". The 64 Controller is located inside a wall at the bottom right of the room, just off-screen.

The Spray Can is located through the secret door in the room "Cannon Event" during Happy Hour. It is to the right of the layer launcher and the jelly at the very left of the room. Platform through the room, avoiding the cannons, to claim your prize.

Secrets[]

Paul is found starting in the room "Dynamite Duo's Downhill Jam". In that room, after finishing the downhill course, go backwards on it, always staying on the bottom rail. Instead of jumping to get onto the last rail though, boost with the Clutch button and let yourself fall, where you will be caught by a throwing monkey and thrown into room with wind that lifts you upwards. At the end of that room is Paul.

The Red Dumpster can be found in the room "Dynamite Duo's Downhill Jam". After completing the course, drop down to the left, following the monkey tail down to the throwing monkey, and get thrown to the right. Climb on the ceiling then drop down to the dumpster. The following room is very red and contains hard platforming to reach a lot of money.

Trivia[]

Originally, Concrete Jungle was gonna be named Jam Jungle from Antonball Deluxe, as seen in concept art unil it was revamped. Coincidentally. Footage of Jam Jungle can be seen in LukeyDukeys review of Antonblast.
Concrete Jungle was originally gonna be the Second level until it was moved as a Sixth level, which Slowroast Sewer became a Second level to fit in after Boiler City.
Concrete Jungle is one of only two levels to be possible without using the clutch button, the other being The Big Bath. Unlike The Big Bath, however, Concrete Jungle is only possible using the Slide + Jump combo for a mini clutch boost.
The font for Concrete Jungle's Title card uses two fonts. "Sweet as Revenge", and "Marsneveneksk"
