Description[]

Combo Chain is one of the three selectable game modes for levels in AntonBlast.

It involves keeping your combo high by collecting colourful chains placed around the level, killing enemies, breaking blocks and other special conditions. If your combo runs out Anton will take damage and all Health Crates are replaced with normal crates.

Trivia[]

  • The combo title "Wild" is a reference to the game "Wild Woody" for the Sega CD which was infamous for being one of the worst games on the Sega CD,
  • The combo title "Wacky" a reference to the poorly recieved "The Wacky World of Tex Avery" a series that is infamous for not only being the worst series made by DIC Entertainment. But as an outright "disrespect and a huge insult" to Tex Avery's legacy, and apparently being meme'd on in Twitter and Bluesky.
  • During the Dynamite Demo, the only combo titles present were "Play it Loud!," "GROOVY!", "EATEATEAT!!!", "Pipposterous," "JAMMIN'!!", "Ahh!", and "BALLER!"
  • The "BALLER" combo title is a reference to the logo of Antonball Deluxe.
  • The "Play It Loud!" combo title is a reference to the Game Boy series of the same name.
  • The combo title "BIG BANG!" may be a reference to the Deltarune AU track of the same name
