Bossbusters' theme song (Here Comes the Bucket Brigade)
Description[]
Bossbusters are bosses in AntonBlast. They are the Satan's 4 elite moles, they seem to be the classic "bumbling cronies for the big bad" trope, (I.E. Scratch and Grounder from the adventures of sonic the hedgehog, or the Koopalings from Super Mario), except they're somewhat competent.
Brawlbuster is the first of the Bossbusters to be faced and the first boss in the game that can be fought after finishing Slowroast Sewer. Defeating him allows you to enter Cinnamon Springs
Description[]
He is a wrestler and is overconfident, he has a big ego due to his strength and always flexes his muscles. He represents the sin of Pride due to this.[1]
Official description: BRAWLBUSTER is a BIG SUMBITCH. A pumped up powerhouse of a pro-wrestler who missed the memo that it's a staged performance, Brawlbuster is ready to throw down with Anton and Annie and hit 'em for real! Can they stop his hulking mass, BROTHER, or will he secure the 1-2-3? Yeah!
Appearance[]
Brawlbuster is a yellow mole with white teeth, nails and both a big muscular torso & arms with heart tattoos on them. He wears a helmet with a spiked weather vane-like arrow on top.

Brawlbuster[]
Brawlbuster fights on the wrestling ring of his gym. Once you survive enough of his attacks he will start to flex, letting Anton clutch towards the ropes and sending himself flying towards him, dealing damage doing so.
Attacks (in order):
- Dash: Brawlbuster will dash towards Anton and perform a suplex should he successfully grab him. This is easily avoided by jumping on or over him. He performs this attack in all phases of the fight except the final hit.
- Super Dash: Brawlbuster will either dash or jump at the ropes, and start bouncing back and forth until he stops so that he can show off, leaving an opportunity for attack. He will always do this before flexing.
- Jumps: Brawlbuster will start jumping across the ring before starting a super dash and, when he has lower health, slamming the ground & causing a shockwave. This attack can be tricky to dodge because he can jump backwards or forwards without any easy way to telegraph it, and it is first seen when he as 4 health left.
- Slam: Brawlbuster will jump on the wrestling ring's edge and slam down right at the center of it, creating a fiery shockwave Anton has to jump over. He will then immediately start a Super dash. This attack is first seen when he has 3 health left.
- The C H A I R: Once Brawlbuster has only one health left, he becomes enraged and grabs a chair in order to beat Anton senseless. Once he is near Anton, he will slam it on the ground. However, if you lure him towards the ropes, he will accidentally take the hit himself and fall flat on his face. Anton only needs to charge towards Brawlbuster afterwards to end the fight (or just clutch, do an atomic blast, or basically do any other attack than the one usually needed to damage him, you choose, it doesn't matter anyway). However you don't even need to outsmart him with the whole "lure him" tactic, because if Anton gets hit by the chair, he won't take damage at all but will instead be flung onto an edge of the arena, completely knocked out. Brawlbuster will then slowly walk towards the knocked out Anton with the chair, swing at him, but take the hit the same way he would have if Anton lured him to the ropes anyway, meaning that if you get Brawlbuster to one health, you basically already won.

Tallbuster is the second of the Bossbusters to be faced and the third boss of the game.
Description[]
He is actually quite lazy and prefers hanging out in his hot tub. Obviously, he is the tallest of the Bossbusters, so tall in fact that he's sort of like a coil of rope. He represents the sin of Sloth as he really only fights because you forced him to.[1]
Official description: TALLBUSTER is the newest recruit to the Bossbuster Brigade, and he really isn't too invested in the outcome, honestly. In fact, when Anton and Annie confront him, he initially doesn't even want to fight! Content to just sit in his custom hot tub and chill, it isn't until our Dynamite Duo cast the first stone that Tallbuster reveals his true potential. Some say he's really just here to hang out with Smallbuster. What's their deal anyways?
Appearance[]
Tallbuster is a red, extremely long mole with a thick unibrow and long arms, but almost nonexistent legs. He wears a bucket upside down.
Boss fight[]
Note: the given attack names are fanmade, and will be replaced if an official alternative is dicovered
Tallbuster[]
Tallbuster fights in his homemade hot tub, complete with lava cauldrons to keep the hot tub, well... hot. He has 4 spots he can be in (2 in the foreground, and 2 other in the background) In order to damage him, you must hit the lava cauldron he is currently under, assuming he didn't have enough time to hightail it to another spot, however, you will then be stuck in the current layer for a bit until all the cauldrons that just went out of reach are all filled to the rim, and thus become accessible.
Attacks (in order):
- Nothing: As long as he has full health, Talllbuster does nothing at all.
- Nap: If Anton/Annie waits long enough before damaging Tallbuster when he is at full health, he will take a small nap, damaging him while he is still taking his nap will grant you an achievement. "Rude Awakening".
- One Bomb: Tallbuster throws a bomb (either orange or purple, often depending on the current layer) to the player's current location.
- Orange bombs: These bombs are always sent at the background, it is recommended to jump in between the targeted location to avoid them, assuming the there isn't an open gap.
- Ballbuster: Tallbuster throws a ballbuster into the battle the same way he throws single bombs, however, the ballbusters aren't live explosives and instead will stay alive and act as usual until they are attacked by either Anton or a Bomb.
- Purple bombs: These bombs are always sent at the foreground, they behave similarly to how the orange ones due, so again, it is recommended to jump in between the targeted location to avoid them, assuming the there isn't an open gap.
- Bomb rain: Once all of Tallbuster's health is all gone, he wont go down, but will instead start sending an unheard of amount of bombs (and not all of them at once like before), survive this and he will eventually run out of bombs, or so it seems...
- Gargantuan cluster of bombs: Yep, he had WAY more bombs (like they almost fill the entire room) , and they all became this enormous thing that bounces on the ground, the main thing you have to avoid are the pillar-ish parts of that structure (sometimes there are also 2 right next to each other), after a while, the cluster will gradually stop bouncing, hitting it with a clutch will then return it to sender, and send said sender to the foreground, whereas one last hit will end the battle.

Smallbuster is the third of the bossbusters to be faced and the 5th boss in the game.
Description[]
While she is the smallest of the Bossbusters, she is a mechanical genius and can make mechs from scrap ala Tinker Knight. She represents the sin of envy, as the only reason she uses machines is to be big like her fellow Bossbusters.[1]
Official description: SMALLBUSTER may be the smallest bodied of all the Bossbusters, but she's also the biggest brained. It's all relative, though. Faced with defeating Anton and Annie, Smallbuster realizes her small frame will likely get her quickly eliminated, so she turns to her truest love — trash. Living in a dimensional dump between the realms, Smallbuster uses the discarded belongings of the universe to create powerful mechs that do all the heavy lifting of battle for her. As long as she's got her garbage, she's unstoppable! She's never far from Tallbuster on group missions. Seriously, what's their deal?
Appearance[]
Smallbuster is a light yellow tiny mole. She wears a tea cup.

Smallbuster[]
The Smallbuster boss battle was featured in the Meet n Beat the bossbusters video and was first playable at MIX Seattle 2024.
The boss fight takes place in a giant junk yard. Smallbuster uses three machines, a fist machine, a rocket firing machine and a junk throwing machine.
Attacks (per machine):
- Fist machine:
- Fist: The machine shoots out a giant fist at the player. After several shots, it gets stuck in the screen, almost breaking it, and can be charged back at Smallbuster.
- Dash: After being hit by it's own fist, the fist machine is sent flying to the foreground, Smallbuster will then attempt to run over Anton/Annie with it, however it can be easily avoided with a hammer bounce. Once Smallbuster hits the wall instead of the target, a clutch will be needed to send Smallbuster back at background, where she will build a new machine.
- Rocket firing machine: Her second machine has her fire different kinds of rockets
- Purple rockets: These things are fast, aim straight for the ground, and are often sent in rows with an open spot.
- Orange rockets: These are slower, also aim straight for the ground, and cause a small shockwave that must be jumped over when hitting the ground, those are either sent individually, with a few others, or with a row of purple rockets where they now fill hat is supposed to be an open spot.
- Giant rocket: After trying to send a whole screens-worth of oranges which turn out to be a dud, Smallbuster launches a slow, giant rocket that homes in on Anton, only for it to eventually get stuck in the ground, allowing Anton to strike it back at her.
- Dash (again): After once again crashing into the foreground, Smallbuster tries to crash the mahine into Anton again, however Anton only needs to jump over her this time due to her machine being smaller.
- Junk throwing machine:
- Bullet Hell: Her final machine has her launching out multiple hazards and enemies at Anton in complete desperation, those things include:
- Beet crate
- Punchball
- Hate crate
- Beelzeball
- Pippo: This one works slightly differently, as it sends a pippo to fight in vain because pippos are harmless.
- Snippo: Works like Pippo.
- Ballbuster: Works like Pippo and Snippo, except it's not in vain because ballbusters can actually fight.
- Did i miss anything else?
- Smallbuster: After a while, Smallbuster runs out of things to throw, and resorts to launching herself at Anton. However, much like with her fist machine, she gets stuck in the screen and can be sent back at the backgound
- Smallbuster's Struggle: Once Smallbuster's machine has once again been hit, she is sent into the foreground won't again, however this time she has no machine and tries to harmlessly punch you. Simply hit her to end the fight.
- Bullet Hell: Her final machine has her launching out multiple hazards and enemies at Anton in complete desperation, those things include:

Background[]
Maulbuster is the fourth and final Bossbuster to be faced and 6th boss in the game.
Description[]
Maulbuster is a highly trained actor and has a love for theater, but can sometimes lose her temper. She represents the sin of wrath, and this is evident once your show outdoes hers.[1]
Official description: MAULBUSTER is the Matriarch of the Bossbuster Brigade. A cultured, classically trained actor whose mind is a steel trap, she keeps the entire Ballbuster Army in check. Her only problem is her complicated and to-the-letter plans sometimes go awry, so when Anton and Annie refuse to follow the script, she just might get caught flubbing her lines. Eh, they're all in Mole language anyways.
Appearance[]
Maulbuster is a light brown mole with light yellow teeth, eyes and nails. She wears a helmet with Viking horns on the sides.
Boss fight[]
Note: the given attack names are fanmade, and will be replaced if an official alternative is dicovered
Maulbuster[]
Maulbuster fights in a theater that has two stages facing each other, resulting in the battle being about who has the better performance.
Attacks:
- Speech Bubbles: Maulbuster will send speech bubbles from her stage that move across the other stage where Anton is, in varying ways. If Anton collides with enough of these bubbles, it will result in a bad performance on his part and he will be damaged by pelted tomatoes from the audience, while Mauluster recieves flowers.. In order to progress the fight, Anton must avoid enough speech bubbles from Maulbusters' performance.
- Ballbuster: A Ballbuster will come on the stage to hinder your performance.
- Rolling Ballbuster: A Ballbuster on a Ball will come on the stage to hinder your performance, this kind of ballbuster is however harder to deal with than normal balllbusters because of the big ball it is on.
- Flapper: A flying Ballbuster will come on the stage to hinder your performance.
- Bat outta hell: A bat will start flying on Maulbuster's side of the theater, once it sees Anton, it tries to drop an anvil on him.
- Maulbuster loses it: After successfully avoiding enough bubbles and making to the end of the current performance, the audience will instead throw tomatoes at Maulbuster and praise Anton. Once this happens enough times to fill her anger bar (represented by a thermometer) to max level, Maulbuster finally loses her temper and screams in a fit of rage before lobbing a giant sentient Tomato with green eyes at you as payback for humilating her, scaring away the audience . You must then lob it back in a game of volleyball. Do this 10 times in order to defeat her. The tomato will bounce on the floor a total of two times per volley. If it is missed, Maulbuster will regain health, the audience will come back, and it will back to the "whose performance is better?" battle from before. If done Successfully, Maulbuster would snap out of it before realizing her mistake as the Tomato will preceed to land on her, completely damaging her with one more scream. after being strucked down, she'll begin to land on the foreground, admitting defeat.

Anton[]
As Satan's henchmoles, they are in charge of doing all the dirty job their boss tasks them with. In this case is to stop Anton in order for Satan to absorb his redness.
Annie[]
Similar to Anton, the Bossbuters will try to stop Annie for getting in the way, since she's only on the adventure for kicks and isn't Satan's target.
Trivia[]
- The Bossbuster have their own video showcasing them, but only 2 have their boss fights presented.
- Brawlbuster is the only Bossbuster that does not enter the background during his fight.
- Tallbuster is similar to Cractus from Wario Land 4, as they are both lanky and start the fight off by sleeping.
- Tallbuster is the first boss to have his boss fight publicly played before the full release of AntonBlast, the others being Smallbuster, Jewel Ghoul, and Freako Dragon.
- He is also the only boss to have early footage of the entire fight be publicly available, although, with some differences compared to the final game.
- He was also meant to be the first boss before it was ultimately decided it would be Brawlbuster (who, judging from the order of appearance of all 4 bossbusters in both their announcement video, where he is revealed last, and the full game, where he fought before all bossbusters, could have been the last Bossbuster Anton and Annie would have fought before).
- Oddly enough, even though it's probably because they are all moles, Brawlbuster, Tallbuster and Maulbuster share the same scream sound effect that plays whenever a Ballbuster is killed.
- According to J.B Long's post. Most of the bossbusters have some odd genders. Brawlbuster's gender is "Bro", Tallbuster's Gender is "dude", Smallbuster's Gender is "Lady", and Maulbusters gender is "Woman".
- They all share the same way of being defeated, getting sent splattered across the screen.
- This is also similar to how the Dynamite Duo gets faceplanted whenever they get bad luck.
- According to their official Kickstarter profiles, Tallbuster and Smallbuster may be romantically involved.
- This is further implied in Devilled Gardens, where two hedges depicting Tallbuster and Smallbuster can be seen with a heart made of roses between them.[Reference needed]
- According to JB Long, Smallbuster is the only Bossbuster that actually dies at the end of the fight, stated at 18:42 of this video.
